This is a 3D animation of a live harbor porpoise named Freja, who stands at an impressive total length of 155.5 cm. The recreation process combined cutting-edge techniques from photogrammetry, photography, and video to bring this amazing creature to life. Collaborating with experts like Peter Madsen and Fredrik Christensen from the University of Aarhus, as well as skilled CG artist Johnson Martin and others, was a crucial part of this project's success. The Fjord Baelt in Denmark graciously granted us access to Freja, making it possible for us to capture her likeness with precision. Through meticulous comparison between digital and live measurements, we were able to verify the accuracy of our 3D mesh model.
