Model 60A - Cyprus Racer Snake

This 3D representation depicts a racer snake (Dolichophis jugularis) captured live in Cyprus using the Beastcam MACRO, which yielded a mass reading of 479 grams. Jer Bot, a skilled CG artist, employed Blender's open-source capabilities to retopologize and reconstruct the snake based on images taken by six Canon G16 cameras and additional reference photos. This collaborative project is part of Dr. Savvas Zotos' post-doc research (POST-DOC/0916/0034), co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the Republic of Cyprus through the Research and Innovation Foundation, with the goal of utilizing this 3D model to investigate and showcase the species' movement patterns and behavioral characteristics.
