Model 58B - House Gecko - Mesh Only

sketchfab

This is a highly detailed three-dimensional mesh of a live house gecko (Hemidactylus platyurus) captured with the Beastcam MACRO in the Irschick lab at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. The mass of this model is 4.6 grams. Johnson Martin, a skilled CGI artist, reworked and rebuilt the gecko from images taken by the Canon G16 cameras. Collaborating closely with Cameron Siler from the University of Oklahoma and Tony Gamble from Marquette University, we created this model, which they will use to test theories about gliding and predation in geckos. Development of this model was made possible by NSF grant 1657662.
