Model 58A - House gecko
sketchfab
This animation showcases a house gecko (Hemidactylus platyurus) captured live with the Beastcam MACRO at the Irschick lab on University of Massachusetts at Amherst campus, weighing 4.6 grams. Johnson Martin, skilled CGI artist, meticulously retopologized and reconstructed the gecko from Canon G16 camera images. Collaborating with Cameron Siler from University of Oklahoma and Tony Gamble from Marquette University enabled us to create this model, which they will use for rigorous testing of predation and gliding models in geckos. This project was made possible by NSF grant 1657662.
