Model 56B - Southern White Rhino - Mesh Only

This is a highly detailed 3D mesh of Bakari, a majestic Southern White Rhino (Ceratotherium simum) from Perth Zoo in Western Australia, which was initially captured with an array of 20 high-tech Canon G16 cameras. Skilled CG artist Jer Bot leveraged the open source 3D animation software Blender to meticulously reconstruct the rhino's intricate features. The massive weight of the Rhino is a staggering 2225 kg and its impressive length measures 2.1 meters. Reference photos were also carefully utilized as a guide to accurately create taxonomic characteristics onto the 3D model using Blender’s advanced sculpting tools.
