The Model 24 Stielhandgranate served as the standard hand grenade for the German Army from World War I's end until World War II's conclusion. Its very distinct appearance earned it nicknames like "stick grenade" and "potato masher," particularly within British Army ranks, solidifying its status as one of the most recognizable infantry weapons of the 20th century. The model consists of four parts and was produced at a scale of half the actual size, or 1/2 life size.
