I wasn't thrilled with my Rostock setup so I decided to make some adjustments. Firstly, I tweaked the platform (you can check out the original design here http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:31642 ) to provide extra clearance for the hex nuts, ensuring they fit snugly without causing cracks. Next, I added a 9.3 mm hole on top of the head mount to accommodate a push-fit boulder mount. Additionally, I designed a ventilator mount that can hold three 25x25x10 12V fans. Initially, I encountered issues with all-metal J-head extruder cooling, which led me to install three fans for better airflow. Moving on, my Rostock's arms were excessively flexible due to their glass fiber 5 mm diameter construction. To address this, I created rigidizers in the form of push-snap-fit stiffeners, but these need some post-printing work - you'll have to cut off the surfaces with the ellipse holes and end up with six 220 mm long stiffeners that can be inserted into your arms for stability. Lastly, the groove for my all-metal J-head extruder was designed using a 4mm aluminum plate, inspired by this design (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:788096). Print settings: - Layer height: 0.2 mm - Extruder temperature: 210°C - Bed temperature: 70°C - Filament material: PLA
