Modded MK3S Extruder
thingiverse
This is based on the new R4 or MK3S extruder set, modified to work seamlessly with [1A125VAC microswitch](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3438084) as the filament sensor. It would take months for Prusa's filament sensor to become a mainstream market product. I designed this because I'm confident that Prusa's optical endstop won't be readily available, and I wanted to utilize hardware that can easily be sourced. The main difference between the original extruder for MK3S or R4 and this modified version is: - Uses ball point spring OD 6mm max instead of magnet slab - Replaces Prusa's custom optical endstop with [1A125VAC microswitch](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3438084) - Incorporates a 3D printed ball end for those unable to find metal ball bearings in their area - Allows use of normal hex M3 nuts instead of only square M3 nuts (on some slots) - Can be used with cheap Chinese alternatives instead of only original E3D (explained below) This time, I'm not adjusting the settings for non-bondtech gears. I also haven't covered other sensor types yet, as I'm waiting for your requests before making adjustments and releasing them. All required models to print and use are available here Leave a comment if you have any questions or requests for specific probe types. Print the "fs-cover.stl" with brim enabled Disclaimer: I simply modified some of these files due to hardware limitations in certain parts of the world. Credits go to Prusa's team for these parts.
