MOD-t cover handle inserts
thingiverse
This insert fits the handle holes of the NewMatter MOD-t acrylic cover, significantly reducing fan noise when installed. To get optimal results, print two copies at a 0.20mm layer height with 10% infill. With finely tuned Mini Kossel linear delta printers, these parts snap into place perfectly. However, when printed on the closed-source MOD-t with its unadjustable settings, they may be slightly larger but will still fit due to their tapered design. Update: I've added a shallower version of these inserts which prints faster and seems more than adequate. In the image of two shallow parts, one was printed using a Mini Kossel (red) while the other used a MOD-t (orange). Important note: When trying to insert these parts into the MOD-t case holes, be cautious not to crack the acrylic as it should snap in easily if printed correctly. To print these inserts safely on a MOD-t, I recommend slicing the file using Slic3r or another local slicer and scaling down to 99% of its size instead of purchasing from NewMatter's store.
