Mod Box with a Cuboid mini Mainboard
thingiverse
I used an outdated Cuboid mini motherboard that had stopped charging via USB. To breathe new life into it, I designed a custom enclosure made from six 18650 batteries wired in parallel. The foundation of the device is a low-cost 510 base sourced from eBay. The battery holders are smaller than the original ones, with thinner walls, and the motherboard is securely glued in place. When vaping at 40W, the device remains cool due to its substantial weight and bulkiness, making it only practical for use at home. Fortunately, by attaching a 510 adapter to USB, this unique setup can also function as a power bank.
