MOD 1.25 SPUR GEAR COLLECTION

MOD 1.25 SPUR GEAR COLLECTION

I designed these spur gears in SolidWorks for a project that's underway right now. For each gear, I created a 3D printed version to simplify the 3D printing process instead of machining. The total number of gears is 23 with teeth ranging from 12 to 40. The MOD 1.25 gears included here all share the same specifications: - Thickness: 8mm - Pilot hole diameter: 5mm - Chamfer width on both top and bottom surfaces: 0.6mm I used Simplify3D to check these files for errors, but none were detected. If these spur gears gain popularity, I'll develop MOD variations in the future. These gears are backed by clear instructions. For testing, I printed the 12 tooth and 24 tooth gears using a Wanhao D5S mini printer with the following settings: - Slicing software: Simplify3D - Transcoding software: ideaMaker The materials used were Voltivo ExcelFil Coal Black 3mm PLA filament. Printing parameters included an extrusion width of 0.4mm, two outer shells, and a layer height of 0.2mm for both infill settings: 8% and 100%. The results were successful in both scenarios without any post-processing cleanup required. Light duty applications should function properly with the 8% infill setting.
