Mobula7 Replacement Frame

Replacement frame for the Stock Mobula 7 drone is now available. Motors need to be screwed down securely, but the rest of the parts just clip into place. The top plate and base plate are made with 7g PLA to print, hoping to reduce their weight without affecting performance. A battery tray/bracket hasn't been designed yet, so for now I'm using a 3D printed adapter that came with the Mobula 7 and securing it to the bottom with elastic bands. It's probably a good idea to add a zip tie to keep battery leads in place just in case they come loose during a hard crash. If you find this print helpful, please consider tipping the designer so I can justify spending Easter weekend on my laptop to my wife. Assembly Instructions: 1. Install motors onto frame, making sure they spin freely and the clips underneath don't rub against the arm. 2. Place one rubber grommet on the front post and another on the rear slot of the flight controller. 3. Slide the FC into the front grommet and slide the rear grommet onto the rear post. 4. Slide the Cam/TX into the top plate/canopy. 5. Slot the top plate clips into the front of the base plate. 6. Clip the rear of the top plate/canopy onto the base plate (depending on your printer tolerances, you may need to file down the vertical supports on the base plate and the front hooks on the canopy). 7. Plug in motor leads. EDIT: I've made a version of the top plate with prop guards that's not too fancy but should work for flying around the house. I'd love to get some feedback if you print one or have any suggestions, so please comment or post a make. I'm planning on seeing how much weight I can remove while still having enough rigidity, and it would be great (albeit sad) to hear how it holds up in a crash. Still a Work In Progress!
