The M7 is designed to operate with either 1S or 2S, but I find it difficult to envision running it on 1S. When working inside a 2S setup, all I need to do is slightly limit the throttle in my transmitter and still achieve the full power of 2S. Considering this, I created a battery bay that can accommodate both large (450mAh and 550mAh) batteries as well as the standard 260mAh batteries, including 300mAh batteries. Here's what I came up with for my 2S configurations. They are oriented to provide maximum strength when 3D printed, requiring no supports. I was asked if I would create a bay specifically for two stock batteries, so it is included here as well. Taking it a step further, I designed the same bay but for slightly puffy batteries resulting from use. I measured my puffiest battery and used its thickness to create this design. However, I did not include pictures of these two printed designs since I plan on using only one that accommodates all types of batteries. I would recommend using a material better than PLA. I utilized PLA+ and it worked well for me. Obviously, PETG would be an even better option, but as I mentioned earlier... For any updates or questions, please discuss them on my blog at RCGroups.
