Mobius Spiral

As a newbie to 3D printing, this will be my fourth or fifth attempt, except for small objects. I am daring myself to learn by jumping in and experimenting. I didn't design the 3D model; I found it at http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=6250854ecf2b954269095ca863cece2f&prevstart=0 while searching for a Mobius strip to print. This model seemed more interesting than a basic strip and presented a good challenge. I used Makerware, the software I'm familiar with, and printed it with rafts, supports, and default settings like 2 shells. It took 1 hour and 40 minutes to print and another hour to remove supports. The final product is slightly thin in some areas, and removing supports was challenging but manageable.
