Mobius/Runcam Pan Tilt with 9 Gram Servos
thingiverse
I designed my own Pan Tilt module centered on affordable 9 gram metal gear servos for the Mobius and RunCam HD/HD2 action cameras. Frustrated by several pan tilts here on thingiverse, I decided to create one myself due to certain design aspects that didn't meet my expectations. The design is remarkably straightforward and incredibly robust. I will upload some flying video as soon as possible so you can see it in action. Here are the print settings I employed: PLA 0.2 mm layer height 30% infill - honeycomb No supports were necessary I aimed for loose tolerances without being too lenient. A few holes had to be filed down to ensure a proper fit. The servos I am utilizing include: TGY-R5180MG - 180-degree pan servo, with the wheel arm used for additional structural support. TGY-50090M - Tilt servo I use velcro to secure the camera to the top plate and so far it has proven more than sufficient. In addition, I have included the inventor files in case you want to utilize different servos and need to adjust holes/spacing. Any suggestions for improvement would be greatly appreciated.
