Mobius Heart
thingiverse
This attempt at creating a heart-shaped Möbius strip uses the equation x=16sin^3(θ), y=13cos(θ)-5cos(2θ)-2cos(3θ)-cos(4*θ) from mathworld.wolfram.com/HeartCurve.html. Three cross-sectional shapes are available: rectangle, ellipse, and pill. The code for a standard round Möbius shape is also included for reference. Rendering the model in OpenSCAD may take a long time on older computers. Key variables include angular_resolution, cs_pill_shape, cs_ellipse_shape, cs_rectangle_shape, shape_dimension_a, shape_dimption_b, and extrude_height. To create the model, open the .SCAD file, set the variables, press F5 to preview, adjust as necessary, then press F6 to render and export a .STL file for printing. Enjoy your printed heart-shaped Möbius strip!
