In the air, on the land, or beneath the sea, our mission is to craft an affordable platform that can print and push programmable components for just $6 to $10. Designed specifically for classroom use on student desktops, we've created a first incarnation known as Mark I, which will operate on land. We plan to include printing capabilities for ESP-32, Pi-Zero, 40/24Mhz analog, and a wired learning experience for our students. Since speed isn't the primary concern in this setup, we opted for a geared N20 motor, available between $2 and $5 on online marketplaces. A 6V to 9V power source is all we need to get things moving, and we've chosen the latter option. Our platform is designed to fit snugly together without the use of glue or screws, allowing you to easily assemble and disassemble it as needed. You can even use a rubber mallet if desired. More details will follow soon! (1) To prevent wheel movement during the epoxy-drying process, apply a small amount of glue using one toothpick and then rest the motor casing on two other toothpicks while it dries. Two popsicle sticks can also be used to balance the drying process, as shown in our example photo. (2) Spacers are helpful when centering the back wheel into its holder. Make sure to trial-fit the pin into the back wheel before final assembly, as you may need to ream out excess filament from around the wheel's hub hole. (3) The grooves on our wheels provide additional traction and can be used optionally to add rubber bands, string, or other materials for increased grip.
