Mobile Pixels Trio Max (14.1") Expandable Mount
thingiverse
Wanted to share my Expandable Mount design I did for the Mobile Pixels Trio Max (14.") version. I didn't like the idea of attaching magnets to my laptop, even with adhesive, because after a while, these magnets got stuck everywhere inside my case, damaged papers, etc. I wanted to share the monitor with the people in my household but again, they needed to stick the magnets to the back of their laptop/tablet first and if the device was too small it wasn't able to work, that's why I designed this mount. It works with many laptop/tablet screen sizes, from 11" to 17". You will need 2 extra items for this to work. First, [12] M2x16 Philips Countersunk. I bought them from Amazon. The bolts are the same diameter as the original ones([12] M2x5, so we will be using the same holes to attach them to the MP Monitor. I bought these because I use them a lot and because I couldn't find a smaller case with the M2 Screw. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075WWLD31/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Second, [2] rubber bands. The smaller the screen size of your device to attach to, the stiffer/thicker I would recommend. For this view, my laptop is 15" and I'm using a medium-size rubber band. The idea behind why it doesn't have a cover for the rubber bands is because of the thickness and because I wanted easy access in case they broke. I couldn't imagine myself removing a cover with screws just to make it look pretty when that surface is facing the back of your laptop's/tablet's monitor. It consists of 7 parts that you have to attach together in order for it to work. Let me know if you have any questions or comments. Enjoy!
