The goal was to breathe new life into an unused li-po rc car battery. With a capacity of 16,000mAh, it made sense to repurpose it as a power bank. A dual PCB battery charger from eBay https://goo.gl/jVrJUL was the perfect solution, and a custom box was designed to house everything. Key features include: A built-in protection system that prevents overcharging, over-discharging, and overcurrent damage. The intelligent output device automatically stops charging once the battery is full, preventing mobile phones from being overcharged. The output voltage and current remain stable, ensuring user devices are not harmed. Specifications: Micro USB input: 5V at 1A USB Output: 5V at 2.1A / 5V at 1A (dual USB interface) Charging display: an intelligent digital display shows the charging progress. Battery type: liquid lithium-ion batteries, specifically designed for use with 18650 cells. Product dimensions: 57mm x 28mm Screen size: 27mm x 17mm Assembly instructions: The circuit board is connected to the battery's negative terminal (B-), while the positive terminal (B+) should be connected in a way that prevents reverse polarity, which could damage the board. The batteries are connected in parallel using welding techniques. It's essential to ensure proper insulation between the battery and the circuit board to prevent short circuits. Additionally, the battery leads should not touch the circuit board. The custom box has an extra port for quick charging with a hobby charger, but it's not recommended as it may affect the accuracy of the battery percentage display.
