MobBob2 adjustable Phone holder
thingiverse
Wanting to create a MobBob, I discovered that my phone wouldn't fit in the original MobBob Phone holder. So I redesigned it to accommodate phones of various widths and with or without protective covers. I maintained the attachment dimensions relative to the rest of the robot. All parts can be easily printed without support. No assembly is required; simply clip the back to the cover, place the gear in position on the cover, and slide the left and right braces into place while turning the gear. All thanks go to Cevinius for developing such a cool little robot and app. Print Settings Supported Resolutions: 0.3 mm Infill: 20% Notes: I printed at relatively low resolution for speed and it worked fine. Post-Printing The small latches on the cover plate maintain the gear in position (preventing side braces from moving once you've set it to hold your phone) and click when adjusting. A very small gap between the latch and the rest of the plate allows it to flex. Depending on your printer and settings, you might need to re-separate it with a small blade to ensure attachment only at the pin.
