Simplify 3D was the slicer. I resized all of the parts 343.76% to be slightly less than the X-Max print space. Since this is a big model, nearly 3 feet tall, I opted to use inexpensive filament and end rolls, hence the varying colors. This print will be used as source for producing a mould for casting. Each section took from 25 to 35 hours to print, so a total of 300+ hours for printing. If it was late evening, and I was sneaking up on the end of a spool, I paused printing and resumed the next morning so I could watch the filament and do a spool change mid-print. I printed the top knot separate from the skull cap to avoid supports. It slips over the skull post. I only included the mods with this post. I didn't add all of the other images/.stls from the original MaxMuske model, you can get them there as they are well documented. I assembled the parts using a hot glue gun, but in retrospect I think plastic epoxy is a better choice. After assembly I filled the joints with plastic epoxy and filed down any big defects. I then applied 4 or 5 different applications of Bondo to eliminate assembly defects. After that I applied a couple of coats of plastic friendly primer. After that I applied a couple of coats of rust colored primer. After That I applied a good coat of brown, glossy paint. For interest I randomly applied spritzes of both metallic bronze and gray paint. Then, a thin coat of brown glossy paint to tone down the spritzes.
