Moai Head on Easter Island

myminifactory

The enigmatic Moai statues of Easter Island are renowned for their shrouded past. As a collection, they number 887 statues, with the largest standing an impressive 10 meters high and weighing a staggering 80 tons. The statues were crafted by the island's earliest settlers between 1250 and 1500 AD, who then laboriously transported them across the island on foot. This remarkable object is part of "Scan The World", a groundbreaking non-profit project initiated by MyMiniFactory. Through this initiative, we are creating a comprehensive digital repository of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the globe, available to the public at no cost. Scan The World is an open-source community effort, and if you have intriguing items in your vicinity and wish to contribute, please email stw@myminifactory.com to learn how you can participate.
