MOAB - MOther of All fan Brackets
thingiverse
This script generates customizable brackets for attaching fans to any PCB board. It includes a list of pre-defined brackets and allows you to create brackets with adjustable height, hole count (2 or 4 holes), and fan size compatibility. The script initially focused on RAMPS boards but now supports various fan sizes and PCB dimensions. It can also generate brackets without holes, suitable for devices like the Raspberry Pi or Intel Galileo as feet. Key features include configurable cross-braces, resizable hex nuts based on screw size, and a design that prevents interference with board components. Printed in PLA at 0.20 to 0.33 layer thickness, 3mm bracket thickness offers optimal snap-on fit, vibration resistance, and sliding along the board. To use, require a cooling fan and 4x screws/nuts (M3 size) for brackets or no additional parts for PCB slide-on covers or feet.
