It's finally arrived! Modular Recycling System for 3D printers. This incredible system includes: shredder for plastics, filament extruder, filament puller, and filament spooler - all in one package. These independent subsystems are designed to be stored easily on separate bases, simply place them side-by-side to interconnect. The spooling is conveniently located under the main extruding system, freeing up space and facilitating a smooth filament winding process with precise tension. Key Features: plastics shredder with manual or motor-driven options, filament extruder featuring adjustable extrusion speed, pulling speed variation, FILAMENT FLOW SENSOR that immediately stops the system when it detects any issues with filament flow, filament spooling with adjustable speed and tension for a dense spooled filament, fume absorber and elimination utilizing an active carbon filter, and hopper cooling to prevent melting. System Specifications: extrusion speed: 12 cm/min, tolerance: +/- 0.3mm, materials compatibility: all known types (PLA, ABS, PE, PP, Nylon, etc.), also capable of extruding advanced filaments (wood, metal, etc.) by mixing PLA or ABS with material powders at a 10-30% ratio, and accepting coloring pellets for customized filament colors. Maximum spooling length: 200m or 2.2 kilos (dependent on spool size and hopper capacity), designed to run continuously for extended periods. Energy consumption: 350W peak, 150W/h average. Final testing material: ABS, BASF TERLURAN GP22, testing time: 25.5 hours non-stop, extruded filament: approximately 180m. It is highly recommended to use the filament sensor on your printer (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:454584) when utilizing filament produced by this system to eliminate diameter fluctuations. This sensor is extremely accurate and can handle significant variations in filament diameter (3mm to 1.5mm within a 1 cm range). Documentation is still ongoing, so any information found here may be incomplete. A huge thank you to Hugh Lyman for inspiring me to create my own home-made filament extruder!
