Do you need it? No. Do you want it? Yes. See pictures for 10c improvement between with and without the Duct Lid. Both of which are perfectly safe temps. While t he "puck" is friction fit, the vents will need to be glued in. Make sure the arms that stick out from the corners are faced down towards the print bed when you slice the files. There are 3 versions of this lid. All of which are made for the MNTD case. Make sure you use ASA or ABS to prevent the lid from melting. This lid has a duct to ensure cool air intake over the heatsink. The lid also has exhaust vents to direct exhaust away from the intake. Ductless Lid: This is the exact same lid as above but without a duct. Ductless Lid AG: This lid is an air grate. It also has no duct. Feel free to leave a tip if you want, but you don't have to.
