Mnemoique Ender 3 V2 Hotend Duct
thingiverse
The actual blower ducts are thanks to HWGeek, fantastic work and I aspire to be useful someday!! https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3141892 I am extremely green with printing and CAD so bear with me... I just started both in October. I had been trying out different hotend mods and parts cooling ducts for about a week now and I wasn't having much luck as I realized two things... 1) Creality really made the cooling fan on the stock setup as efficient as they could have given the materials and 2) the divorce wasn't JUST MY fault. I was moved to try a 2 40x10 blower cooling duct system. I had tried out a few singles and a few fangs and I didn't notice any real improvement over stock....as a matter of fact my overhangs and bridges became worse. I wanted a very simplistic design because I don't know what i am doing and I am fairly lazy. I went with a box for the hotend housing with the standard 40x10 fan and I slapped a few 40x10 blowers to the sides with ducts and made sure i had enough room for the bl touch still. I am going to be reviewing and changing this over and over and over until I get it right or until i lose interest or until someone remixes it and does it better than me...in which case I will forfeit all of the royalties to that person. I would basically design something on shapr3d... print it... take measurements and look at what kind of crap i had just made...cry...redesign and repeat. I will make updates as I make progress with this...all joking aside I am just trying to see if i can improve upon the original design. Stock, my overhangs were starting to come apart after 50 degrees... which wasn't bad at all. I wanted to see if I could do better on sheer luck. with hardware I am using the stock heatsink fan and two 40x10 blowers that I got on amazon for $6 for the pair. I wired the blowers in parallel on the existing wire. I am just using #4 sheet metal screws to hold everything together until I finalize the design -UPDATE- 12-19-21...eveningtime... finished up the first build on V6 (only file) last pictures are from this version. overhangs are good... basically no significant change from stock. BUT NOT WORSE!! (high fives)
