MMU2S Filament Dock
prusaprinters

A simple yet effective filament dock to let you detach your MMU2S from it's spools very easily without having to redo all your tubing.

Just unload all filaments and slide the top off.
When loaded the filament and friction will keep both parts connected. If you got the right screws they will stick out a tiny bit to prevent the top from sliding off without any filament loaded.
I used countersunk SPAX-like screws with 3mm diameter.

The holes on both parts are made to fit 4mm ptfe tubing hold in place by tubing adapters which let the tubing pass through. They are already threaded to fit those adapters (M10x1) [you need a total of 10 of those]. The fit is tight but not crushing, push the tubing in until you see the tube through the opposite hole.

For the lazy ones I added a drilling template to let you pre-drill (3mm) the holes for it. The final may be drilled with forstner bit (15mm) the fit offers a little tolerance but be advised to use the template ;).

Print instructions

The bottom part needs some support (a little tricky to remove but necessary).

All presliced files are meant for PLA and use with a MMU2S [since it's a add-on I figured you might have one ;)]
