MMU2s Dual Blade Holder.
prusaprinters

Update: 02/24/2020: While I was at fixing the base I wanted to revisit the selector as it was one of my first projects in Fusion and was really messy. Details of the current version are below

Update 03/01/2020

A user noted that the filament path was too narrow and causing jams. The original file has a filament path of 2.2mm diameter. I have not had any jams with the filament I am using so the feedback is appreciated. I have added a new file with a 2.5mm path for those who want that option.

Doing a major overhaul of my MMU2s. The first installment is the selector. The first version was a remix of https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/2083-dual-blade-selector-for-mmu2-experimental, this file is not a modified version of but created from the original Prusa Files. Though technically not a remix this was truly inspired by Martin_Au.

I modified the blade section of the selector and holder to extend the reach of the blade to 1.98mm and so the points of both blades touch making a perfect end. While I was at it....

The depth of the trapezoidal nut slot is reduced by 0.2mm. This eliminates the little hole by the chamber for the PINDA probe. Good slicing helps as well as the wall is only 1 perimeter thick.

Modified the mounting for the trap nut. Added 3rd mounting screw and increased screw length for bottom screw. Added a hole 2.7mm diameter by 6mm deep where a 4th mount to the T-nut is. An M3 8mm will give a nice snug fit.

Changed the blade holder so that blades can be replaced without removing the selector.

Incorporated the Festo holder into the selector, it's an extra part that's not needed.

Added slot for installation of a 6mmx2mmx10mm Magnet from the spare parts bag for the FINDA.

If you really want to go for extreme overkill I am designing a linear rail system for the selector and will post it soon.

Extra stuff needed

1x m3 hex nut
2x m3 25 socket head screws

Print instructions

PETG Prusamet Orange
Prusa Slicer 0.2 quality and changed...
250/80
0.2mm 50% infill Rectilinear.
Recommend a Brim
No Supports
YMMV
