I've got my MMU2 system fully self-sufficient, with a simple pull-out design for easy maintenance or upgrades of the MK3. I installed a plug-in connector into the cable linking the MMU2 to the MK3, allowing me to effortlessly separate them by unplugging that connection, disconnecting the PTFE tube between the two units, and relocating the printer as needed.
