MMU2 Pulley body with brush holes
thingiverse
# What's This? This is a modified MMU2 pulley body with holes cut out for a cleaning brush, similar to the Skelestruder design. Why let springs and bolts fly when you open it if gears can clean themselves instead? # Update History - July 24, 2019: Tightened up the 3mm shaft for a better fit, also widened the brush holes to match the brush hubs. - July 25, 2019: No changes, just re-uploaded because TV refused to generate previews again. - January 23, 2019: Updated description; I've printed this item and use it myself now, so my previous statement about only testing segments was outdated. Removed the WIP flag. # Necessary Parts - 3mm shaft - 19mm (3/4") disc brush, such as the one found at https://widgetsupply.com/product/ban14.html # Assembly Instructions Insert the brush into the slots, then thread the shaft through, and you're good to go. You can use some M3 screws or 3mm filament to keep the shaft in place if it's loose. # Important Notes - If dust falling out onto your prints is a concern, cover the slots with tape to contain it and just clean them occasionally.
