MMU2 PTFE Tube Holder

MMU2 PTFE Tube Holder

thingiverse

This part is designed to lift the PTFE tubes at the back of the MMU2 off the heatbed. By taking the tubes straight back, they are organized and won't flop against the printer. Furthermore, they can be cut shorter than stock, reducing friction when filament travels through the PTFE during load/unload movements. I've found this attachment works well with setups where spools are oriented directly behind the printer as well as configurations where spools are situated above the printer (shelf, RepBox, etc.). The assembly is straightforward. Simply remove the two hex screws on top of the MMU2 and use the same holes to align the new part, then attach it with M25 screws. There's also an option to add Festo connectors to the attachment. By adding these, you'll prevent PTFE tubes from moving back down the holes when a new filament is first added. If you choose not to use Festos, make sure the PTFE tube is longer than what's pictured to prevent it from being pushed completely back down the hole. For easy assembly of the Festos, add them before attaching the part to the MMU2. To aid in installation, try putting a PTFE tube through the Festo to help align it with the part when screwing them in. Required Parts: * 2 x M25 Screws (you should have these leftover in your spares) Optional Parts: * 5 x PC4-M10 pneumatic male straight quick connector (i.e. Festo Connectors) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IB81IHG
