MMU2 Idler Tensioner Knob

Created a knob for quick access to open the MMU for servicing. (i.e. jams / re-seating broken filament / adjusting the tension force) Having knobs eliminates the need to use an Allen or Hex key to open the MMU every time there is an issue.

A knob also allows for fine tune adjustment easily,

The knob replaces the existing M3x30 screws with M3x40 screws that you likely have in your spare parts bag.

The model is created using filament swaps on a single extruder setup. The reason for this, is to have a visual gauge of where to initially seat the knob (The red represents the original M3x30 screw head).

Original M3x30 screw head is just below the surface of the housing. Having a visual guide helps initially align the tension / position.

There is a simply L / T indicator for Looser / Tighter. (But really not needed) For that reason - the model is printed upside down with supports. (you could print it without supports by eliminating the text and flipping it upside down)

Once printed - simply use a screw gun / electric screw driver or drill (on low speed) to install the M3x40 screw. You will be able to feel when the screw head bottoms out. It is designed to be a very tight fit, without having to use glue to keep the screw in place.

You can compare the screw length from the M3x30 to the newly printed M3x40 screw as shown in the pic. (M3x30-M3x40_Compare.jpg)

Reuse original tensioner spring. (Original Tensioner Screw Image provided for reference)

Original sliced G-Code has filament swaps and is set for PLA @ 3mm height.

(May re-slice the original file if you do not want the color swap)

Sliced using .4mm nozzle @ .010mm step heights.
