MMU2 - Filament quick disconnect adapter
thingiverse
Update: This part gets plenty of attention. It functions as expected, but honestly I've stopped using it on my MMU2 due to a better solution provided by vertigo235 - different pneumatic fittings (PC4-M10 passthrough) that allow the filament to slide with much less friction, resulting in fewer print failures. Most users should switch to his design instead. Getting the MMU2 in and out of an enclosure-mounted printer is a difficult task due to how the PTFE entering the unit is clamped into place. This 5X PTFE clamp to pneumatic push fit adapter makes it easier to disconnect an unmodified MMU from filament feed tubes. Parts required: 6pc M3 X 8mm machine screws 6pc M3 hex nuts 5pc Short pieces of PTFE with both ends reamed/chamfered into a "funnel" shape 5pc M4 or M5 thread pneumatic push fit connectors Thread the push fit connectors into the plastic first (may need an M8 or M10 wrench to get them tight). Push all 5 PTFE tubes in place until they butt against the connectors. Attach the cover with M3 hex nuts and M3 X 8mm machine screws.
