The lifting lid of my Prusa MMU compatible printer becomes extremely heavy when five dryboxes are placed on top. While servicing the printer, I accidentally pushed the lid too high and it flipped all the way back, causing damage to the hinges and several rewinders and tube adapters. To prevent this from happening again, I designed an anchor point for the lid that uses a 2mm twisted steel cable to provide over-lifting protection. This design also works with thin nylon cords or twine. The anchor is designed to secure the lid using a large area of contact on its top surface, ensuring a strong attachment even in the event of a full-force flip. The large plate not only serves as an anchor but also covers any imperfections on the lid's top edge, providing a clean finish.
