MMMK - Mini Media Macro Keyboard
thingiverse
This is a week end project to create a media keyboard because my new keyboard doesn't have any dedicated media keys. So I decided to build a small dedicated device to fill this need. I also added additional buttons so that they can be used as macro keys. I wanted to have a nice control for the volume so I added a encoder wheel (the advantage over a potentiometer is that the control is relative, so no big jump of volume if the volume was modifed externally.) It would'nt be a DIY electronics projects without some addressable LED so I added a 12 leds strips that runs around. By default, The buttons are map to: - Volume Up/Down for the encoder wheel. - Media: Mute, Play Next for the black buttons. - Copy, Paste, Undo for the white ones. Of course it can be changed to any keyu combination by editing the firmware. I also added a hidden capacitive switch to be used as configuration key, for example to select which OS the device is used on, so that the shortcuts could be adapted. If you want more information about the firmware, hardware, or if you want the .step files, you can found that on the github repo [MinMediaMacroKeyboard](https://github.com/Bibi2424/MiniMediaMacroKeyboard).
