My first design is still a work in progress, but I'm making good headway. All screws used are 2.5mm diameter, 5mm long, and I'm using breadboard jumper cables to connect the Pi to the HAT without soldering. A micro USB PCB also allows me to power the Pi and plug in the USB at the back of the case. The memory card is removable on the right side, so unless an internal part fails, you won't need to take the box apart. If you already have an OLED screen fitted to your HAT, the stand-off points are sufficient, and you don't need to remove it – it can stay where it is. Power from the micro USB socket on the back panel goes to pin 2 for 5V and pin 6 for ground on the GPIO, either on the Pi or the HAT (I connected mine to the underside of the Pi). Screen sizes up to 4.5 inches will eventually be added for the front plates as I get more screens in house or borrow them locally for size testing. Jumper wires with female to male connectors are 30cm long. Future goals include adding two 18650 batteries, a voltage regulator to get the 5V output for the Pi, and a charge circuit so it can be taken mobile simply by unplugging the rear USB cable and taking it with you – there's plenty of space to expand the build further. The box has been updated with ventilation slots in the rear and top for table mounting, as well as top and bottom slots for wall mounting, allowing airflow. There are screw slots in the rear panel and an alternate USB mount point so the unit can be screwed to the wall and powered from the bottom. De M1CNX
