A protective shroud safeguards the hot end from airflow turbulence emanating from the fan. Print this component with its inner ring aligned flush against the build bed, relying on support structures to prevent deformation. Securely fasten the assembly to the backplate of the X-Z axis, positioning it immediately behind the extruder head, by screwing it into place through a matching receptacle using an adequate securing device. (The hole diameter is 3.5mm, a self-threading bolt was successfully used for this purpose)
