I am able to create 3D models for printing, which includes designing rulers with precise measurements. A ruler with carefully crafted gaps and extrusions sized from 1mm to 10mm and holes sized from 1mm to 9mm is a great reference point for understanding the scale of any printed object that comes off my printer. This helps me to accurately account for the unique characteristics of my own printer, such as its quirks and calibration issues, when designing other objects for printing.
