MLP Cosplay Ear
thingiverse
Printable ear for My Little Pony Cosplay. Looks far better covered in felt, but can also be left as bare plastic. You will need a mirror image for the opposite ear to fit properly on others with 60cm hat-sized head, requiring some scaling adjustments. If you use these for a costume, let me know because I'd love to see how they turn out. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Ormerod 2 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.6mm Nozzle Infill: 100% Notes: Rafting up to 20-degree slopes is highly recommended, as is a brim of at least 20mm for plenty of adhesion to the bed. I printed mine upside-down with tip at the printer's bed, achieving satisfactory results. Colourfabb XT was used for my print; I'm unsure about other filaments' performance. Post-Printing: I covered my ears in felt using fiber-glassing epoxy resin and sewed them into the wig. How I Designed This: This design is a bit of a mess of solidworks surface modeling, but it should suffice. The original files are retained for creating different types of ears (bat ponies, etc.).
