MKS Gen v1.4 Raspberry Pi Mosfet Hypercube Electronics Case
thingiverse
I remixed the SKR Controller box model 3.3 by HortaInc to accept a MKS Gen v1.4 board, adapting it from the XL SKR 1.3/1.4 version. The hole pattern remains essentially the same except it's about 30mm longer, so I added two new mounting holes and an additional cutout for the USB. To accommodate this change, I also left the SKR mounting holes intact, allowing me to upgrade without printing a new case. I made several modifications to the original design: * I mounted the case on the left side with bolt holes inside, which enables it to be recessed rather than bolted directly onto the back. * The case now mounts inside 3030 extrusion instead of being bolted to the back. * I removed holes for additional switches and right-side mounting. * I eliminated holes for nuts as I plan to use M3 3x3 brass inserts. * An extra hole was added on top for cables to enter at either the bottom or top of the case along the extrusion. This is a work-in-progress, and I haven't printed or tested it yet. A potential concern is whether the case will be sturdy enough with three bolts on the inside, as the original design relied on both the vertical leg and cross-member extrusion for support. If you print and test this, please provide feedback.
