I designed this case specifically to house the MKS Gen L V1.0 board on my Flsun I3. The MKS Gen L V1.0 board's mounting holes are precisely 103mm x 75mm in size, a critical measurement that ensures a snug fit. On the front cover, you'll find mounting holes for an 92mm fan, which I've chosen to be the Arctic F9 92mm model. For optimal airflow, mount this fan facing outward so it pulls air out of the case instead of pushing it in. By doing so, you'll prevent accidental wire contact with the fan blades and avoid adding extra cooling to your prints. To achieve this, I left the fan on the outside of the case with a grill covering it. This design ensures that wires won't obstruct the fan's airflow. There are multiple options for routing the wires within this case, catering to different preferences. You can choose from several versions, each offering unique wire management solutions. Additionally, there's a separate fan cover available, providing further flexibility in your setup. In response to user feedback, I've updated the design to version 2. This new iteration features two distinct configurations for routing hotend wires: one with mounts located at the top and another with multiple holes for more versatile wire management. To address user concerns about wire management, I've made an additional update to version 2 of the case cover. By adding 10mm extra depth to the design, you'll now have ample space to route all your wires without them bulging out. Moreover, I've incorporated a dedicated cover for the 92mm fan, ensuring that it stays securely in place. Unfortunately, I noticed that the original version 2 of the case cover was missing a critical hole. This has been rectified, and you can now enjoy a complete and functional design. When working with this case, I highly recommend using PETG due to its excellent heat resistance properties. The MKS Gen L V1.0 board does generate significant heat during operation, making PETG an ideal choice for maintaining the case's structural integrity.
