MKS Gen-L and Mosfet bases
thingiverse
Liked the original Thing but preferred it as a single piece. Once printed the original base was just a tad short to fit my MKS Gen-L, so remixed and added 2mm in the width. Now fits like a glove. **Jan 12 2019** - printing now Going to add a fan so remixed the location of the Mosfet. MKS will be on top of my ATX PSU so trying out some rails to keep it in place. If they work you can either glue them in place or clip them - not sure the fit will be tight enough without glue though. Miscalculated the rails, they are too short. Redoing them again - hmmm Tinkercad lengths are correct - printer calibration may be pooched :o( **Jan 13 2019** Weird thing - this design had a load of duplicated files, i think it is now back as it was **No it's not - chasing a ghost here, so am leaving if as is for now** Remixed the base so it now has recessed holes if you also use the fan mounting Added a 92mm fan mount Printed - very pleased with myself :o) **Jan 16** Then I shot myself in the foot with the new Mosfet - way bigger than my old one. Oh well, redid the design to accommodate that and a dual Z breakout board. See v2a & v3 I haven't printed this out, and probably won't until the working mosfet dies or i get bored ;o) The integrated dual Z board isn't pretty but good enough in this instance **Jan 19** Reworked dual Z board to incorporate it into either the base or the fan mount v5 remixes **Final Jan 20** This is the version I am printing as main print I have seen that not all Mosfet boards are exactly alike so some boards may only work with screws in 2 corners, diagonally opposite from each other Hope its of use to someone
