MKS Filament Sensor Case & Mount
thingiverse
I designed these parts based on the following sensor: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Funssor-3D-printer-filament-sensor-with-calble-break-detection-switch-PLA-ABS-broken-material-to-suspend/32809590044.html This sensor is fully compatible with my MKS TFT32 touchscreen, so I created a custom case and mount for my printer. To design this, I used the model presented on the link shown above as a reference point. To assemble the parts, simply place the sensor at the bottom section and then secure it in place by closing the upper part. Use M3 screws and nuts to tighten it firmly. I added slots to allow the sensor to be positioned precisely with respect to the filament extruder. In my design, I placed the sensor just below the extruder to ensure optimal functionality. One potential issue you may encounter is inserting the filament through the holes. It takes some practice to get it right, but with a little patience and persistence, you should be able to navigate this challenge successfully.
