Revamped DriveBlock Base V9 allows for smooth printing of flexible filaments, such as NinjaFlex, and has been tested on WanHao Duplicator 4 and CTC Dual printers with NinjaFlex. To ensure optimal performance, follow the provided tips to configure your slicer settings correctly. The original concept aimed to accommodate larger draw rolls, like those used in WanHao Duplicator 4, featuring a 11mm cylindrical gear-wheel and a 12mm ball bearing draw roll with a grooved surface and a shaft diameter of 3mm. To prevent broken ball bearings due to the weak 3mm shaft diameter and strong springs, a M3 pan head screw was added as a shaft replacement. The design also addresses concerns about overhanging ejection units on the outer sides, providing extra space for installing larger heated build plates or additional features. This modified extruder unit has been in use for six months without issues, and its release is based on its stability. It is compatible with Original Replicator and 623ZZ ball bearings recommended by ivc. For printing instructions and required parts list, please refer to the instructions tab. Print the parts in ABS for better heat resistance, using a layer height of 0.10mm, two shells, and 100% infill for stability. Disable supports when printing the base unit's levers and covers. For NinjaFlex prints, follow specific guidelines provided in the instructions to ensure successful prints.
