This is a Prusa v2 x-carriage designed specifically to be paired with a micro x-carriage from Thingiverse, found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:972856. The optional diiicooler from Thingiverse, located at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1025471, can also be mounted on this x-carriage. A mounting hole for a 12mm diameter proximity sensor is included, with an offset of 45mm on the Y axis and 10mm on the X axis. To remove this x-carriage base, simply release the two screws holding the diiicooler bracket, then undo three screws and the entire extruder will come right off. The micro x-carriage ensures that the x-axis belts remain tensioned even when the extruder/hotend is removed. This design was specifically created for those Chinese knock-off extruders found on sites like eBay, Amazon, Banggood, etc. How I Designed This: To modify the original source files, you will need to use FreeCAD 0.17, which is not backwards compatible with 0.16. The Part Design workbench has undergone significant changes in 0.17. I have included the FreeCAD files used for this design. One file contains only the fan bracket, while the other file holds all the parts and was used to assemble the entire thing together.
