MK8 Fan Spacer
thingiverse
Fan spacer for MK8 extruder. Designed to fit heatsinks with empty spaces where M3 screws pass through them into stepper motor.\nModified to enhance airflow. I discovered that the solid section in the middle was obstructing the heatsink, so I added two new versions that replace the solid section with a diamond grid and honeycomb grid to allow air to flow through that section to the heatsink.\nThe fan spacer is slightly taller than the heatsink, providing a small gap between it and the heatsink. This gap ensures that tightening the screws won't cause the fan blades to rub against the heatsink fins.\nThis design was created with Tinkercad.
