MK8 fan shroud with supports
thingiverse
Redesigned for the MK8 hotend on the Prusa XI3, which has its extruder positioned on the opposite side. Also added column supports inside the duct to improve bridging since part of the point was having a fan assist with bridges. This version features 10mm width, requiring M3x50mm screws to secure extra length. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa XI3 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: .2mm Infill: grid Notes: Since there are built-in supports in the duct, I chose not to use those from the slicing software. I attempted the original MK7 design with supports and essentially couldn't remove them from the tunnels.
