Mk8 Extruder for Nema17 with BI v2.5 mount
thingiverse
This is a high-performance extruder utilizing Mk8 gear and primarily original parts from BI, engineered to outshine EZstruder in several key areas: cost-effectiveness through using affordable Mk8 gear ideal for EU markets, along with numerous beneficial features. Users can effortlessly print continuously without worrying about mid-print plastic jam-ups - simply add another spool when needed. For further efficiency, the Teflon tube has been cleverly placed closer to the gear to minimize frictional resistance. It is strongly recommended that users integrate an E3D Bowden mount to drastically reduce the occurrence of tube damage. With its enhanced design, this extruder boasts greater torque than EZ due to the compact size and more precise teeth of the Mk8 gear, further reinforced by employing V-profile bearing to prevent axial slipping. Furthermore, a controllable spring force is implemented for flexibility, making loading incredibly swift. A detailed breakdown of parts and instructions can be found within the PDF file accompanying this design. For enthusiasts of customization, note that the fan mount utilized in this project mirrors my previous designs. Updates featuring improved Bowden mounting systems and refined instructions are forthcoming; users should look forward to future upgrades.
