MK8 extruder carriage with 3D Touch bracket v2 (CTC i3 Pro B)
pinshape
This version has been tweaked to position the hot end, 10mm to the right. This setup essentially aligns with the original hot end placement, with a slight margin for error. It's essential to note that this modification doesn't utilize the original extruder components; you'll need to remove the aluminum block and angle bracket. Alternatively, you could design an extruder that incorporates the aluminum block in conjunction with this bracket. I've identified a vulnerability in the 3DTouch bracket and have uploaded a revised design. For optimal results, it's recommended to print this part with an 80% infill to achieve sufficient strength. Please keep in mind that this modification is specifically designed for the CTC Prusa i3 DIY Clone and requires upgrading the firmware to use the 3DTouch feature. I'm currently running Marlin v1.1.4, but you can ask if you need assistance finding the update.
