MK8 extruder cable organizer Holder backplate
thingiverse
I was very tired of the complete mess of cables that were bundled around the MK8 Extruder. The extruder in it's own it's a nice looking piece of equipment, but looks very amateur when the cables are all hanging around cable tied. i've used the original Pursa cable mount , that is already prepared for the Zip-Ties and have created a backplate that goes on the original Geeetech i3 Extruder metal carriage. You need hardware: m3x40mm to fix the cable holder to the backplate m3 nut for the cable holder 2 m4x14mm or max 16mm to fix the whole thing to the extruder mount. If you don't have 2 m4's you can use m3 scres and a nut between the metal plate & the mk8 extruder. You will have to reorient your extruder Stepper & the heater element cables to come nicely on the side. Disclaimer: The Cable-holder.stl part is done and created by Prusa, so it's their IP. I just added it here so you can have it as a complete set, but if you want you can go download it from their website.
